Following a successful 2013, Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sarajevo International Airport reported positive results so far in 2014, with an increase in turnover recorded in the month of January.
The number of passengers and aircraft operations was recorded to be six per cent higher than the corresponding period in 2013. Further growth in traffic is anticipated throughout 2014 with new routes having been adopted.
The airport recently announced that low-cost German airline, Germanwings, will introduce a new route connecting Sarajevo to Berlin. These new services are expected to launch on April 15, 2014, and are to operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Adding to this, in June 2014, Scandinavian Airlines is introducing a new service between Stockholm, Sweden, and Sarajevo.
