Albania witnesses boost in visitor arrival numbers

Albania's Ministry of Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Youth and Sports has recently posted tourism statistics for the first six months of 2013, showing a surge in the number of visitors to this Adriatic country.

The total number of tourist arrivals stood at 1,059,456 – 13.1 per cent more than in the same period last year (920,448).

Significant tourism growth was recorded for all six months of H1, with February showing the steepest rise (+34 per cent), followed by April (+18 per cent).
