Select Croatia launches adventure package

Travel specialist, Select Croatia recently unveiled a brand new, five-day package from Venice, for travellers wishing to experience Croatia's cuisine, landscapes, medieval villages and hospitality.

In recent years, Istria, Croatia (only a few hours from Venice), has received a lot of media attention for its multifaceted touristic offering. Select Croatia's Istria Experience kicks off with a two-hour private chauffeured transfer from Venice to Umag, a picturesque fishing village situated in the north-western part of the region, for a stay in the five-star Melia Coral. The day after, guests will be granted the opportunity to explore some of the historical towns of Pula, Rovinj and Porec.

The third day can be spent enjoying hotel amenities or going on various excursions. The final day is reserved for a truffle hunt in the hinterland of Istria. Following the last night at the Melia Coral, a private driver will conclude the experience.

Commenting on the package was director – Croatia and Mediterranean, Yacht Charter, Maja Gudelj: "This is a great package for all those looking for something different as a pre- or post- cruise option from Venice or even the other parts of Croatia.

"Istria is close enough to Italy to be a convenient addition to any trip, and it is a whole other world that travellers can discover, from the amazing food enhanced by high-quality white and black truffles, to the stunning landscape and fascinating history. It is a region yet to be discovered and is an oasis of rich culture and peaceful landscapes in which to rest and relax for a few days."

The package comprises four nights at the Melia Coral; tours and tastings accompanied by certified English speaking guides; transfers from and to Venice with an English speaking driver; breakfast and dinner every night at the Melia Coral; and all entrance fees and taxes per itinerary.
