Porto Montenegro Yacht Club (PMYC) has unveiled a variety of sailing experiences designed as short trips for both business and leisure travellers throughout the summer season.

Groups can brush up on their sailing skills on a tailor-made programme designed to match their abilities. Activities either follow a classic regatta format or focus on beginner-friendly sailing, making use of the PMYC's fleet of Blu26 and Tofinou 9.5 boats.

The Regatta Experience is designed to support more experienced sailors towards improving their competition and regatta performance by honing race skills in on a high performance yacht whilst the Boka Bay Sailing Experience is ideal for beginners, providing a leisurely introduction to sailing.

Both experiences are ideal for corporate groups, where management skills can be perfected during team building exercises and the day can be customised to each group's level of experience.

Each includes a full day's activity programme, breakfast, lunch, snacks and water, as well as digital photography of the participants in action.

EIBTM 2013 once more to host Sustainability Stand Award http://ttgbalkans.com/mice/item/721-eibtm-2013-once-more-to-host-sustainability-stand-award.html http://ttgbalkans.com/mice/item/721-eibtm-2013-once-more-to-host-sustainability-stand-award.html EIBTM 2013 once more to host Sustainability Stand Award

The global MICE event, EIBTM, has announced that the 2013 event, set to take place in Barcelona, Spain, in November 19-21, is once again set to host the Sustainability Stand Award in a bid to encourage exhibitors to take a sustainable approach to their participation in the show.

Judged by an expert independent panel, the Sustainability Stand Award recognises exhibitors placing the most emphasis on sustainability at EIBTM.

Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau (SCIB) was named as the winner of last year's Sustainability Award due to their demonstration of best practice and leadership in the field. The stand was created using sustainably sourced wood and low energy lighting, and had been recycled at exhibitions for the previous three years, with a view to it being in use a further five years. Its staff was also encouraged to attend sustainability related education sessions and use less literature during the event.

Director, SCIB, Barbra Steuri-Albrecht commented: "To receive the EIBTM Sustainability Award was a great recognition for SCIB. It was a true reward for the many smaller and bigger results we achieved in Switzerland over the last few years together with our regions, centers, destinations and hotels. It has been, and still is, a great motivation to continue our sustainability efforts at these different levels and to share best practice examples with our clients and other interested parties."

EIBTM is additionally set to provide a dedicated education stream that includes a range of education, advice clinics, case studies and best practices delivered by industry experts in the Sustainable Events Corner during the three-day event. This feature provides information on sustainability and how it can be practically implemented into events, venues and the industry supply chain.

EIBTM exhibition director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, Graeme Barnett commented: "Sustainability is one of the key elements of EIBTM and we are committed to continuing to make positive changes. Since introducing our sustainability objectives in 2009 we have reduced our waste by over 79 per cent, which is great and allows us to increase our goal even further in coming years. The Sustainability Award is part of our overall sustainability strategy, recognising the work of our exhibitors in contributing towards our sustainability objectives as part of our involvement to achieve ISO 20121 certification."

Exhibitors who would like to apply for the Sustainability Stand Award can submit their applications online. Entries will close on November 11, and the winner is expected to be revealed on the second day of the show.
